Free State Stars Football Club has its roots firmly planted in the province. There exists a strong reciprocity between Ea Lla Koto and the people of the Free State, a ‘partnership’ forged during the club’s formative years.

We believe that our position of relative ‘privilege’ as a football club obliges us to give back to the communities that have given so much to Free State Stars. We also believe that our responsibility as a football club extends beyond safeguarding the welfare of our players and club staff.

Because of their ability to transcend social, religious and racial boundaries, football clubs have the power to effect positive change within their home communities. As a club we take a keen interest in the welfare of our communities.

In conjunction with our sponsors and partners, we invest in a range of CSI programs, be it conducting coaching clinics at schools, making financial donations where need is identified or simply ‘Doing it for Mandela’.
