Free State Stars have three points in their sights ahead of facing SuperSport United at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
Since the 2005/06 season the teams have played 26 matches in all competitions with Ea Lla Koto winning five.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori have claimed 10 victories and 11 matches have ended in a stalemate.
While Stars come into this game on the back of a 2-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, SuperSport were unsuccessful over two legs in their CAF Confederations Cup play-off tie. They were eliminated on the away goals rule by Gor Mahia after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.
The Pretoria side have also sunk down to 14th place on the Premiership standings, following a difficult run of results, although they have picked up a couple of points, from successive 0-0 draws with Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City.
Stars, meanwhile, come into this game in fifth place on the table, ten points better off than SuperSport, but have been held to two 1-1 draws recently, with Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic, ahead of beating Chiefs.
The last time these two sides faced each other, in December 2017, Stars ran out 1-0 victors, with Siphelele Mthembu in a game that also saw Patrick Phungwayo dismissed in the second half.
Ea Lla Koto Head coach Luc Eymael has reported no injuries or suspensions for this clash.
