Stars in Durban to face Golden Arrows

Free State Stars have an intriguing test away to an unpredictable Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

Since the 2005/06 season the teams have played 22 matches in all competition with Ea Lla Koto winning 10, compared to Abafana Bes’thende’s six, alongside six draws.

While Luc Eymael’s charges come into tie in fifth place and with just two losses in the last seven Premiership ties, Clinton Larsen’s side, who are down in 11th place, have just two victories in the same number of games.

However, while Stars lost to an injury-time against Kaizer Chiefs last time out, Arrows overcame Cape Town City 1-0 on the road.

The last match between these two sides, at Goble Park in December 2017, ended in a 2-1 win for Stars with Goodman Dlamini and Sinethemba Jantjie both on target in the second half, before a consolation goal from Siphelele Magubane.

In team news, captain Paulus Masehe is serving one match suspension for Ea Lla Koto.

Head Coach Luc Eymael is back in the hot seat after serving his two match suspension.
