Free State Stars have a promising opportunity to move further up the table when they meet Golden Arrows in Sunday’s Premiership clash at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Stars are continuing to show signs of improvement as they are currently two points clear away from Chippa United in the relegation/promotion playoff spot.
Meanwhile, Arrows are in 10th spot in the table having notched up 33 points from 27 league outings.
A win for Ea Lla Koto could be a huge step in the right direction for Nikola Kavazovic’s men.
As such, captain Paulus Masehe is optimistic of a good performance, saying: “We are absolutely not worried about the relegation zone.
“We have been in this situation a couple of times, and we know how to handle the situation.
“The guys are focused and looking forward to get maximum points against Arrows on Sunday.
“As long as you don’t lose matches you are in a right track and we definitely running our own race, we not bothered about other teams, and we will fight until the very last match.”
Since 2010 both teams have met 17 times with Stars winning eight of those meetings. Arrows have six wins whereas three of the encounters have ended in a draw.
Kickoff is from 15:00 in Durban.
