Mahamutsa and Makhaula suffer injury blows

After assessment from club physiotherapist Ryan Coert, we can confirm defender Rooi Mahamutsa defensive midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula will not be available for manager Luc Eymael over the coming weeks.

Both Makhaula and Mahamutsa have impressed in the early stages of the season and their absence will come as a bitter blow to new head coach Eymael – as he looks to build a squad capable of qualifying for the top-eight.

“The two players will not be in the squad for the two Polokwane matches against Baroka and Polokwane City respectively,” Coert said.

“Rooi Mahamutsa has suffered a tibial stress fracture in his right leg and will miss approximately the next eight weeks – and Makhehleni Makhaula has a stress fracture of the navicular bone in the right foot.”
