Free State Stars are calling on all of the club’s supporters to come out in full force for the visit of Highlands Park to Goble Park on Saturday, kick off 20:15.
Ea Lla Koto have endured a testing season thus far, after the high of winning the Nedbank Cup last season.
While the club picked up a point in the hard-fought 2-2 clash with Cape Town City in August, Stars have since lost 1-0 to Polokwane City and Kaizer Chiefs in two competitive Premiership clashes.
Now as we prepare to host Highlands Park, #FillUpGoblePark is being circulated by the club to push our boys to all three points this weekend.
Opponents Highlands Park have enjoyed a relatively stable 2018/19 season so far, after their promotion from the National First Division.
The club drew their opening four games, 1-1 with Orlando Pirates, 2-2 with Black Leopards, 0-0 with Mamelodi Sundowns, and 1-1 with Baroka FC, before beating Golden Arrows 2-1 in their last game.
Since the 2016/17 season, Stars and Highlands have faced each other three times, where Ea Lla Koto have one won, whilst the Lion of the North have also won once. The other match ended in a stalemate
Luc Eymael’s side are, meanwhile lying 15 on the league table after five rounds, while Owen Da Gama’s charges are occupying seventh spot.
The Nedbank Cup champs will be without the injured Sinethemba Jantjie, Bangaly Keita, and also doubtful is Harris Tchilimbou.
Peter Shalulile and Christopher Komane are still in recovery from their respective injuries for Highlands Park.
