Ea Lla Koto held a Nedbank Cup Open Day media conference on Tuesday where Club General Manager Rantsi Mokoena guaranteed that Coach Luc Eymael would be going nowhere, with one year remaining on his contract.
In his address to the press, Mokoena praised the work that Coach Eymael has done during his time at the club.
He said: “I trust Luc, and I trust him in a sense that the time I have spent with him we are both frank with one another.
“We sometimes clash with ideas, we sometimes fight but it’s all in the name of bettering ourselves.
“Luc comes with a lot of European mentality and sometimes it does not sit well with the South Africans. I really do trust him and there are times when he gives me enough reason to trust him.
“He has been approached by other clubs other than Kaizer Chiefs and I know about it.
“They sometimes call him in my presence and his answer will always be ‘gentleman I am happy where I am and I want to achieve something here’.
“It gives me a confidence that he has found a home here at Free State Stars and as a club we try everything in our powers to make him happy.
“Of course we have our limitations in terms of his request and if it was up to him he will probably try to sign Ronaldo and I will say no and instead of signing Ronaldo we will sign Siphelele Mthembu.
“Thus far I am happy how he has conducted himself at the club, managing the team and players and the relationship with the entire Free State Stars family.”
