Free State Stars are proud to announce the official arrivals of seven players ahead of the new Premiership season.
After a gruelling pre-season and undertaking a host of new trialists this past few weeks, club management and head coach Sammy Troughton is confident the two new goalkeepers and seven midfielders will improve the overall quality for a successful upcoming season.
Amongst the new arrivals, Ea Lla Koto welcomes back one of our very own in the form of playmaker and winger Sello Jaftha – who was previously in the books of Orlando Pirates.
Another exciting signing which promises to add immense quality within the midfield is former Black Leopards man, Mumuni Abubakar.
The two new shot-stoppers Bandra Ali Sangare from Ivory Coast joins from Sportive DE Thanda and Kwizer Olivera of Rwanda makes the switch from Bugesera to Bethlehem.
Midfielder Sibusiso Hlubi, makes the step up from the National First Division – where he starred for Umtata Bucks while the final two acquisitions, Mpho Mathekgane and Bathusi Aubaas were roped in from Buya Msuthu.
General Manager Rantsi Mokoena admits he is pleased with the recent transfer deals but has issued a promise that a few new faces will arrive before the end of current transfer window.
“We welcome the new players to the club and hope they will add value to the team ahead of the new season,” he said.
“The club will still make another two or more signings before the closing date of the window period.”
