Our midfield general Goodman Dlamini says he shares the confidence of the rest of the squad who are prepared to open the new Premiership season against his former side, Amazulu.
Dlamini will face the top-flight returnees for the first time since joining the Ea Lla Koto family and is looking to continue his impressive form displayed last season.
The KZN born man scored six goals in 27 games across all competitions since joining Stars and insists the pre-season under head coach Sammy Troughton has lifted with spirits within the squad.
“The preparations ahead of the new season have gone well,” he said. “We have played a series of friendly matches and everybody is looking sharp and ready to go. We have no injuries so far ahead of the weekend match.
“I will be playing them for the first time since joining Ea Lla Koto last season. I have no point to prove,” Dlamini added. “I will be playing my normal game.
“I am just keeping focus and I will play according to coaches instruction, but it will really be nice to pick up maximum in the opening match, it just eases the pressure going forward.”
