Coach Luc bemoans TKO draw

Head coach Luc Eymael admits the Telkom Knock-Out draw has not been kind to him since arriving in South Africa as Free State Stars were drawn with Premiership Champions Bidvest Wits.

While Ea Lla Koto hold an impressive record over The Students, the Belgian tactician highlighted that Gavin Hunt’s outfit and Mamelodi Sundowns were the two sides they were hoping to avoid.

“It’s a very bad draw,” he said. “I have been in South Africa for two years now, before the draw, I already know who is playing who, always the same fixtures.

“Again a bad draw we are up against the reigning champions Bidvest Wits – there are two teams I wanted to avoid in this draw and that is Wits and Sundowns, but unfortunately it has to be like that.

“I remember when I was in Polokwane City I also had to play the champions and it was Sundowns at that time.”

Dates and venues have yet to be disclosed.

Kaizer Chiefs vs AmaZulu

Chippa United vs Mamelodi Sundowns
